Meet our Ride Leaders!
Charlie Denney
Charlie has worked as a transportation planner specializing in bicycle and pedestrian planning and design for over 30 years. He is incredibly familiar with bicycle networks and trails in and around the DMV. Charlie has been a regular BellRinger Rider and has even joined us as a support vehicle driver. For any questions about getting out on your bike in the DMV, Charlie is your guy.
Eric Channing Brewer
Eric is the founder of the DC Tweed Ride and the DC Seersucker Social, rides that have been attended by thousands of folks through the years and have inspired similar rides across the country. He is also the founder of a gravel and cyclocross racing club called The Bluemont Connection. Eric has an easy-going sociable nature and has a knack for building inclusive cycling related communities – and he’s super stylish to boot!
Jeff Miller
Jeff daylights as the DC Cycling Concierge, offering private tours tailored to his guest’s goals. Jeff is a melanoma cancer survivor who has ridden BellRinger’s 100 mile route every year. Be sure to ask Jeff for fun facts and historical tidbits as you ride with him – he’s a wealth of knowledge!
Rudi Riet
Rudi has immersed himself in the DC cycling community since moving here in 2003. He is currently president of Potomac Pedalers, one of the nation’s largest recreational cycling clubs, and he is always trying to find the biggest climbs on his rides to prepare for summers in Europe. He is also active in alpine ski racing as a coach and official, as well as within the advocacy communities for cancer and Alzheimer’s. His weaknesses: craft coffee and microbrews.
