The time has come! BellRinger’s 2023 training ride schedule is fashionably on time as the warm Spring weather arrives in DC. Join us in getting your bike and body ready to go the distance this October with training rides that are specifically tailored to your Ride distance. As long as you bring a bike, a helmet, and a smile on your face, we’ll take care of the rest. Read on to learn more about our scheduled dates up until July and how we’ve structured training rides for 2023.

You asked, we listened! Our community is growing and we are so excited to be adjusting our training rides to fit the needs of all of our Riders. This year’s training rides are set up a bit differently than last year, and will now be directed toward specific BellRinger Weekend distances. We will have two separate types of training rides: those for 25-mile Riders, and those for 50/100-mile Riders.
If you are just getting comfortable with riding in a group or plan on committing to Ride 25 miles, we’ve got you covered. Join us for our casual, no-drop rides where you’ll learn the basics of riding in a group and get in some mileage ahead of BellRinger Weekend. Training rides for 25-milers will take place predominantly on bike trails although you should always be prepared for a little bit of road riding.
If you are looking to further challenge yourself with the 50- or 100-mile courses, we’ve got just the options for you. Specific rides geared towards 50/100-mile routes will be longer rides as we focus on endurance and some mixed terrain. The 50/100-miler training rides will be predominantly road rides. All 50/100-mile Riders are also welcome to join our shorter rides for 25-milers.
Don’t forget — training rides are open to everybody! You do not have to be a registered Rider to join us (although you might be by the end of it)! Bring along your friends and family to meet members of the BellRinger community and hear the stories that led them to participate.
